Hello, guys!
I'm thinking about buying a decent soundcard for my PC. My on-board Realtek is pissing me off, but I don't know a thing about soundcards. I'd like to buy one for about $100 shipped (I live in Brazil). People told me the Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio was a good choice, but I prefer to ask you guys here before buying it. Do you have any other suggestions?

Creative-made cards are garbage.
 
If you want X-FI features, get an Auzentech card. Otherwise there's HT Omega and ASUS cards.

Only for music. I usually watch TV series too, but I don't think I need some kind of fantastic soundcard to enjoy it. I don't play games and don't watch movies.

look for an E-MU 0202 USB sound card, highly recommended. it is around 100$
and forget creative x-fi series
if you got chance to buy an asus xonar essence stx it would be perfect sound card for you. (stereo sound card with changeable opamps and headphone amplifier)
