currently my system is composed of LCD3, Burson Soloist, and Maverick D2. At this point i am interested in upgrading my DAC. I am willing to spend from 1500-2000. I was wondering if there is such a thing as synergy for specific pairing like amp does and how much of a difference can a good DAC could possibly make? Is it as noticeable as changing up the amp from a mid tier to a upper tier? Any links, recommendations, or comments would be appreciated

I would see if a DAC company that you are interested in would loan you a demo unit so you can test if it actually provides you with an audible improvement.
