I am looking into getting a pre-amp for my record player as neither my record player or receiver have a phono pre-amp. I am not sure which turn table i have but, its a B&O and has a MMC5  cartridge.
would this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000A36XZS/ref=cm_cr_asin_lnk work? If not can someone point me in the right direction, preferably on amazon, my budget is sub $60.

Thanks in advance

That should work. Its a phono preamp for moving magnet cartridges. It has a variable output of 300mv to 1.8v controlled by the knob on the front. You set its knob to max then you connect its output to your receiver, line-in or aux.
