Hey all, I've recently realized that portable audio probably isn't the best way to go for me... to make a long story short, I'm looking to set up a cheaper home system. I'm currently using a merely adequate JVC FS-1000 system (CDP and speakers) straight out of my comp... As I understand, the way that most people go is comp-->USB DAC-->Amp-->Headphones/Speakers? Currently all I have is the computer and headphones... So I've been looking around, and it seems like the Zero DAC might be my best bet, as I'm not looking to spend more than $125 on the DAC. After that, a cheaper Little Dot Tube amp to run my Senn HD485's to, and voila, a cheap ($250) home setup. Later on maybe some Swan speakers... but anyway, am I going in the right direction?
