This is my 2nd post but probably should have been my first. I used to be into SQ car audio until I got busy with life. Long story short I have rediscovered my love of good music. My home AV setup is ok. I have a pioneer vsx 1123 and a mix of paradigm and monitor audio speakers. I think with that I probably have a good system for sharing music with the house.
However I have been lurking and have given in to experimenting with personal audio. I have managed to collect a pair of se215's, W4r's, and a set of vmoda m80's as well as a fiio e12. My current sources are an iphone 5 and an iPad with lightning.
My musical tastes are pretty eclectic. I listen to everything but country. I have really enjoyed the M80s and the w4r's. The se215s seem a bit bassy for me but fit nicely.
I have a recently retired pioneer vsx-53tx that I could use if I sent audio to it with an Apple TV maybe. Any suggestions? Would a dedicated headphone amp/DAC be better? Ideally I would like to set up a system that could be used for headphones and a set of bookshelf speakers.
