Hi there guys, I'm currently in need of a cheap headphone. I know I want the HD650 for my next can but while I've been saving up BOTH my M50's and AD700's have died. So I currently want a cheap inbetween can to hold me over until I can gather the funds for the HD650. Not much preference in type of sound type really. Just looking for something good that will work with my amp(or at least not be worse). Open or closed also doesn't matter much but no IEMs. Just want the best bang for cheap buck. I used to own a pair of portapros and those were fun but maybe I can try something else this time? Budget is strictly $20-40. Thank you so much guys, I really do appreciate any help in my time of need.

Another option is the closed Monoprice 8323 at $22 + shipping.

I picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD 515s off ebay for $35 and it is fantastic.  If you are patient, you might find one for about the same.  I saw another one go for around $40 a couple of nights ago.  If you don't want to do that, take a look at the Panasonic RP-HTF600.  Pretty good for $28 (that's what I paid for mine).  You can buy the Panasonics for less than $30 on ebay or Amazon right now.

Thank you all for the recommendations. The Tascam's sounded so interesting! I just had to buy a pair on Amazon prime for $16 dollars and I think it will be fun to try some super budget headphones.
