Hi,
This will be my first time buying headlphones. I may not buy it till around xmas time or January but I want to plan now .^_^
Other than the ibuds, the only other quality things I bought were 2 sets of earbuds.
Skullcandy Titans - This ended up falling apart (the earbud fell apart) after about 5 months of nonstop use. The bass was loud, but after awhile the sound quality just started sucking. Before it fell apart it was picking up alot of noise. Anytime the cord happens to hit my shirt, I can hear static and whatnot from it. Felt heavy and not very comforting.
MEElectronics M5 - I loved these, they lasted over a year. The cord on the right side snapped. Sound quality was alot nicer than the Titans, no static noise either. The around the ear mechanic was useful for when I go jogging, that way the cord doesn't fly all over the place. Bass was smooth, not the loudest, but it was still good.
I figured, headphones might not be the best choice for exercising walk/jog, but I can always learn to manage them and if needed I'll just ask for a better recommendation for headlphones later.
Price range - Less than 100 dollars.
I enjoy listening to older rap (bone thugs, nwa, tupac). I do listen to some modern rap and mainstream music, but those don't sit in my playlist very long.
Other then that I listen to some country (brad paisley, rascal flatts). And ALOT of trance.

So yes. bass is a must have, but not necessarily the main thing. Sound quality is where its at.
I do plan on using it for gaming also. Mic isn't really a requirement since I can always just use a cheap desk mic.
I asked around. Half the people I play games with says Beats (most say beats studio), the other says Steelseries V2.
Which I did some research. Beats its way out of my price range and it has alot of meh reviews going for it (Highly overpriced decent quality). Same with steelseries (good for gaming, bad for sound quality).
So What would best fit my likings? (The nearest bestbuy is about 45 minutes away, so I'd rather do research before zooming over there )
