Im not sure if this has ever been posted. Usually when i turn my amp off i remove the 1/8 jack before turning the amp off. THe other day i had the headphones plugged in and turned my amp off. I heard a pretty loud pop or crackle in the headphones. My question is, how bad is this for my entire system?

Actually quite a few amps do this when powering up and powering down. A solution is to bring the volume to 0, unplug the headphone, and then turn the amp off.

in addition i believe its safer for the headphones.

My procedure as well. Otherwise, my CanAmp is dead-silent.
