I was listening to an SP recording of Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" the other night on my Sony R50 w/Ety-4S's and I heard a slight echo on some of the horns. It was really minute, but definitely distinct. I have never heard this echo before on any system w/any headphones. These Ety's included...Any ideas what's going on?

would you mind telling us if you were listing from R50s headphone out or line-out with an amp..
R50s were known for it's wonderful line-out, maybe this is the "colored" sound of it's internal amp?

Thanks for your reply, ProFingerSk8er! I am listening from the headphone out. Would an echo be a headphone amp "coloration"? I guess so, in a way, but I'm wondering if maybe it's a minute detail of the recording that I never heard before, because it's so strange and unlike any problem I've ever heard of before. I'm still waiting on my Super Micro, so I'll reevaluate wehn I get it.

It's probably either something in the recording (check the original of course) or an ATRAC artifact.
