I need to get some headphones can you recommend any? I would like the big ones that cover the ear. I don't want the ones with microphone. I will be using them for gaming and music but mostly for pc gaming. are there certain brands that are the best ? I would like to spend under 200. thanks

Search?

Audio Technica a900: big and ~$190

As you'll find, most expensive headphones will require an amplifier to perform nicely. Fortunately for you, the a900's do not.

A search for "circumaural" in combination with "gaming" and "music" should turn up a number of threads with similar questions. That's almost a FAQ here.

it's probably the best to do a search

some other headphones besides the a900's you might want to look into

sennheiser hd595, sound is quite good and they are easy to drive. They are an open design which means they leak sound to the outside.

there's also the beyerdynamic dt 770, which has ridiculous bass

do a search and you'll be fine

I have these for sale at the following location:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/162647476622?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

http://www.ebay.com/itm/162646182452?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

This link is only to give you the opportunity to review. Should you desire to purchase I will be glad to remove them from eBay and load them here.

Both phones have very good bass. The NAD, however, has striking bass.

As always, if you are unhappy for any reason I would refund the purchase price. Your only risk is the price of shipping. Best, JS
