I've set my eyes on the Alessandro ms1i or the modded ms1000 version, but I heard they excel especially at rock/metal and I completely avoid that genre. Are there any alternative headphones that don't cost more than 200 dollars that don't look terrible? I've looked at the ATH-M50, but in my opinion, it just looks too bad....

Well, not really a basshead, just songs with a deep rhythm is nice. Just like some new Hip-Hop.

The sub bass is emphasised according to most people. As long as you dont expect skull crushing bass you should be fine

If you want noise cancelling, theres the velodyne vquiet. They are cheapest on walmart's website.

How does it match up against the ATH M50?

How does it match up against the ATH M50?

I can't say much from personal experience but there are comparisons between the donscorpio dolphin and onkyo es hf300. They are pretty even. Most people say that the ath m50 isn't as good as the onkyos so its pretty safe to assume that the dolphins are better.

The ath m50 has more mid bass impact than the dolphin but the dolphins have more sub bass
