Recently I had bought a pair of on-ear headphones for $40 (don't know the name) and they had broken, luckily I sold some of the salvaged parts for about $100.

I'm now looking for some headphones that sound good with music genres like Death Metal under $130.

Here's what I'm looking for:

•Comfortable earpads for long periods of listening
•Size is not too big, but not too small. I will be using this for portable use.
•Detachable cord
•On-Ear or Over-Ear headphone, no earbuds.

So far I might buy the:
• Seinheiser HD 439
Beyerdynamic DTX 501

Do you need isolation?

Hello,

If you need a little bit of isolation, you can look into the Sennheiser HD439 http://en-us.sennheiser.com/on-ear-headphones-audio-hd-439 but if isolation is no big deal, look into the Grado SR60i http://www.gradolabs.com/page_headphones.php?item=f4ba8830232696b5f580bd531134b668 I find it the best for metals genre

Hope it helps

Thank you, I will put the Seinheiser's on the list.

Some, not much though. I will be riding the bus and will be wearing these.

Those Sennheisers seem to be a very good pick. If you want something smaller you should consider Beyerdynamic DTX501p

Thank you! Reviews for those Beyerdynamic DTX 501s seem to be positive, I'll be adding it to my list.
