I like the Sennheiser HD650s as my companion headphones to the AKG 701s. They have a different darker sound than the AKG 701s that I like. I also just recently had the HD650s recabled for balanced use by Fidelity Audio and I must say they sound fantastic balanced.

I have a pair of HD600's to compliment my 701's. I like them both even though they have different sound signatures.
