Just curious: What do people recommend in terms of closed/open headphones to complement the Headroom Micro Stack.
Looking for something where neither the headphones are wasted on the micro stack (it's not the ultra model), nor the other way around...

Music choices: Mostly Rock, Jazz. Little techno, hip-hop/Rap/Pop. Little classical.
Source: Optical input from lossless files/320Kbps or higher ripped files.

Any ideas?

For Rock music, I think Grado 225i's sound wonderful with my regular microstack.

I'm listening to my desktop (Kinda the same thing as the micro?) with Senn HD650 and it sounds phenomenal. I used to own the AKG K701 and those didn't really suit my style so I sold them.

I don't know whether any of that has to do with Headroom's amps however. Never listened to another amp...

well...in general, every headphone should sound good with headroom gear so it all depends on your taste. i LLLOVE my denon D5000 with the headroom ultra micro stack, the best combination I heard so far. if you are a bass lover I would recommend one of the denon line.
the senns are also fabiulous with headroom amp.
