Hi, I'm just getting into headphones and want to buy a pair of nice headphones that sound like the ATH-M50. I was looking at the Pro 700 Mk2s, but people seem to say the mids and highs are lacking compared to the M50s. Do you guys have any suggestions?

i would not know of something to fit your bill, but as a warning you will pay a premium to get the "perfect" pair of headphones. i have also been searching for a similar pair of headphones. i have heard good things about the m-audio q40 but on build quality i am not an expert on those. i have v-mods crossfade lp's and the build is great with removable cables but the audio is slightly under par and i will be upgrading from them soon. if you read my review take it with a grain of salt, my opinions of good sound are still developing.
