1. Which (full-sized) cans do you like most for listening in bed?
2. Which ones do you find the best for this purpose?
3. Do you like to listen to the music in bed wearing them?

I like for in-bed-listening DT100 and DT770PRO.

Tried that w dt770, hd212 and mpio stock earbuds. Not useful while going to sleep - It is uncomfortable to rest my head on my ear (and also muffles the sound on that ear), with all of those. So speakers (little creative sbs speakers for now) it is.

DT-770/990 are great for listening in bed. They are the epitome of comfortable headphones IMO.

I've tried using my DT 880's, laying on my back, but I have to rest my head on my hands because the prongs that support the cans stick out too much and kind of force the phones off my head if I just put my head into the pillow. Of course, it's a very thick and gushy pillow so YMMV.

I can't believe I just wrote that.

Depends on how my wife and I are getting along.

Ideally, my first choice is Sony mdr7509, then Sennheiser hd580/650, and lastly Shure E2c (only if full isolation necessary) if I am only listening to help me or as I fall asleep

Most often it is actually the hd650, because it sounds the best (first choice for normal listening) and I am always tired now

Darth Beyers!!!!!!

I actually listen to headphones at night in bed after the wife is asleep more than any other place/time other than some days at work. Love the DB's in the bed.

Probably best to use inexpensive headphones for bedtime use. Do you want to risk damaging high grade phones?

My K701 touch to much the pillow making it going up a little bit, which decreases sound quality.
I love my SR-60 in bed. It's comfortable, no problem with pillows. I also use RS-1s sometimes, but i prefer the inexpensive SR-60 for bed time ...

imod>SR-71>Yuin PK1. I'm listening right now. I've used imod>Larocco PRII, Heed Canamp>Darth Beyers, K340s, HD650s, R10s, but I was always too aware of the headphones on my head if I tried to lie down. I was also afraid of damaging them if I fell asleep and knocked them off the bed or some such. It took away from the music. I've tried iems, too, but the PK1s are the best for bed for me. I put my head on the pillow, close my eyes, forgot that there's anything near my ears, and drift off in the music...very very nice.

Oh, and in answer to your third question, listening to music in bed is wonderful, imo.

CHEAP ONES ! Don't break them!
Sleeping is dangerous to the phones for sure.

Especially for IEMs (I know you were asking about full size cans):
You may brake a part of the earpiece or the cable, not pleasant to wake up finding out that you've just damaged your $200 earphones...

HD650s, I take them off and switch to my mini plug speakers on my Micro whenever I start to doze off.

I agree. Good-quality earbuds are the way to go.
