So, I was thinking back to some random submarine show I watched on Discovery the other day in which they were talking about how submarines have the most advanced and superior technology within the military... and I can only assume a great deal of this would be audio this and that. This got me to thinking... I wonder what type of headphones those acoustics guys use? Working the sonar and such. I'm sure they are nothing short of made by god... any ideas?

ya they probably have unreal isolation and probably have very specifically designed headphones.. ie.. if theyre looking for a high pitched noise like a propellor, then they probably dont do that well anywhere else. just a guess though.

now what i would like to get my hands on are some of those ULF (ultra low frequency) speakers that the navy was working on.... mmmm.... ultra low frequency goodnesss
