Don't mean to offend, but why did you start 3 threads on the same thing?

I'd say either ATH M50s or Crossfade M-80s

It's all good, all the current recommendations in your other threads are good and well respected, so you really can't go wrong any way.

There are a few cans at that price that met your description of what you want, ex:
DT770 $200
UE6000 $200
Custom One Pro $180
Hfi780/580 $150-$170
ATH WS99 $200
MDR 1R $230
Used Sennheiser Momentum $230
Used M100 $230
Focal Spirit One $230
etc.

They are split into 2 classes.

The first class are the first four. All should sound similar, just different flavors. Lower in quality than the second 5.

Then the second 5 are composed of the mdr 1r etc, all in the same sort of class.

The ws99 is better imo than the mdr 1r in pretty much every way, and I don't have the rest but everyone in the ws99 thread said that they're much superior to the others.

Id say get the ws99 as they are wonderful sounding cans.

The SR60i hands down but you wanted a list.

Grado SR60i  $79
Grado SR80i  $99
Grado SR125i $150
Grado SR225i $200

Don't be tempted to get anything that is promoted by a rapper or music personality and if  someone waves beats in front of you run.

@windybottom: I don't think the grado sound is going to be as well rouded for rock and rap as others.

Fantastic headphones though, great for metal and rock
