I am looking to buy some good headphones to use with my Lisa III. At the moment I am using my UE Triple.Fi's and am fairly happy with the sound. I have also tried it with a pair of HD-25's but I cannot get used to the vice like grip they give - I must have a big head! Anyway I want to get a pair of full size phones to do the amp justice. My budget is up to the equivalent of $350-$400 & my musical tastes are varied but mainly electronic, acoustic & jazz.
Having read a lot of the comments on here the ones I have been considering are the Senn's 580 & 650, Beyer DT880, & possibly the Ultrasone Pro-line 750.
I like a detailed presentation but they must also be comfortable.

if u like bass, the hd650 is for you!

the dt880 is known to have a nice soundstage, but a bit anemic in bass, the LISA III may give it the boost you need tho.

also, dont forget the k701, people seem to love that too

Go for the Sennheiser. And tell us what you think of this... Lisa.

You want details?

You need Sony SA5000..

You want comfort? (not the MOST comfortable, but with their light weight design, they fit very nice. I would rate it a 9/10)

You need Sony SA5000..

I'll be trying the K701's though.. for $250 shipped, brand new, I cannot go wrong.
