The HD 555 are very expensive here. Thank you very much for your help, I'll go for the HD 515, the confort is very important for me.

The SQ of ATH-AD700 will edge out on the 515s. The better choice from HD515 would be HD555 which is about 150$, but I understand with shipping its going to cost you. I would take the ATH-AD700, if they won't be comfortable in the beginning you will adjust to it and it will pay off in the long run with games.

The Samson SR850 (made by Superlux) are really great bang for the buck headphones.

If you are looking for comfort then AD700s are probably some of the best phones you can have, I own them and after I'm done gaming I just leave them on because I literally forget they are there.

What makes them so solid for gaming is the open design which gives them greater sound positioning over closed design phones.

The AD700s are over the ear, meanwhile, the HD 515 cover it completely the ear, that I find most comfortable.

As for the sound, I think it lacks bass, but of course it must be because they are open, but maybe through the equalizer can compensate, right?

For the same price, I found another option, "AKG K-240", but I don't know if is a good deal?

If you want comfort getting anything other than the ath ad700's would be a crime.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this before. I have NOT heard the AD700s, but from everything I've read, they have NO bass. Not just a little bass, NO bass. If I'm gaming and I fire a gun I want it to SOUND like a gun. I had some K701s that had great positioning, like the AD700s, but they also had no bass, and for me that made them useless for gaming, if you care about immersion, that is.

The SRH840's don't have a soundstage that's at all good for videogames, but if you want something around that price (kinda) I'd say try hard to find either

Sennheiser 558's (if you get these do the 555 foam mod) or DT 770 Pro-80's. What type of games do you play?
