The prices I have seen for the K701 and Q701 lately, you might be able to land that for ~$150 and add a small cmoy.  A well made 18V cmoy with OP amps, filter caps and gain resistors picked wisely will sound surprisingly good even with the hard to drive AKG 7xx series.  You'll gain clarity and detail resolution for busy orchestral pieces, and soundstage/image layering.
 
As I type, I am listening to the Finding Nemo score through my K701 and guzzler gmoy... a solid under $200 amped rig.
 
This amp is a serious over-achiever for the $$ I spent on it.
