Hi guys, what are good, very comfortable headphones for a bass player?

A person started to play bass guitar and needs headphones. I am not sure which features are key, they have VModa Crossfade or something like that and it's not enough bass, and also don't isolate well.

They would want closed-back I think, the kind that covers the ear fully.

Using these headphones with a bass guitar would be the main use case (so not for just listening to music, not for cinema or games, etc.)

Budget is, lets say, up to $500, but if it must be more, so be it.

You can get a ATH-M40X (many have said that the bass is more neutral than the M50X), some sheepskin ear pads to increase comfort and ensure an even seal for a longer period of time, and FiiO A5 amp with bass boost to increase the bass response a bit (M40X should act more neutrally to the bass boost), plus you can submit offers of 50% or more if your budget is that tight:

(make sure that it is the sheepskin model)

If you are going to get the discontinued FiiO A5 amp in the above link, then you can get this micro usb charging cable as well:

I'm considering picking up a Beyerdynamic DT150 for messing on a borrowed bass with Fender amp. It's said DT150 resembles HD650 but more alive and in my case the higher impedance is a match with my OTL amp so has backup purpose. Comfort out of the box is the one thing these seem to lack but can be tweaked with all kinds of pads. You can get a grasp by reading the thread's last 5-10 pages or so. Here a nice recent testimony: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/beyerdynamic-dt-150-bloody-brilliant.265251/page-169#post-16833516

Food for thought as they're probably more comfortable:
