Headphones buzzing when amp is off

This is weird...

After I shut my amp down, my headphones (HD580) go from completely silent to emitting a low level buzzing sound... It sounds like 50Hz. Is this bad for the headphones at all? Would it be best to umplug them from the amp, or even leave the amp on?

Unplugged - better safe than sorry.
