Go with the JVC next time around.  Nothing comes close to it, both in impact and depth.  For max impact you swap out the pads to another JVC model.  Brainwavz angled earpads for improved clarity, while keeping depth and loosing a bit of impact.  An EQ is a must with the JVC and don't bother getting it if you are afraid of EQ's.
