Is it possible to damage headphones by leaving them in direct or even indirect sunlight? (Just thinking about where to set up the equipment rack).

Thanks in advance.

I would avoid long periods of sun exposure. My expectation is that direct sunlight will fade the headphones, dry out any leather, and over time damage any fabric such as ear cups.

If they're electrostatic you risk the breakdown of the membrane over time.

Keeping most stuff out of direct sunlight is generally a good idea.

LOL. Maybe I could skip burining in my next headphones and put them in the Atlanta sunshine for few days, say 100 hours worth.
