I actually thought they were not as good as the AKG's. The AKG's sound a lot better when you pull the extra padding out. They sound richer and have a more enjoyable dynamic range over the sj5's (which I felt sounded empty).

...............I do have those Equation Rp-15's on the way along with the 21's. I just wanted to see how they sound so they will probaby go up here in the forum some times next week after I get them.

I purchased the ATH-SJ5 yesterday and it just shipped today in the morning (55.50 shipped).
I really hope it's AT LEAST better than my $20 SBC HS900 (Philips).
