Hi guys,

I'm currently using Ultrasone Pro 750s connected to a Little Dot Mark III fed from a Fubar II USB DAC from my iMac.

I'm looking to upgrade my headphones to something else and was looking for some recommendations. I'm looking for some closed headphones with a nice amount of bass. I mainly listen to the extreme ends of metal (deathcore etc, around 95% of the time).

I've been looking at the Denon D5000s mainly, but wanted some peoples opinions. The main reason for upgrading is that my Ultrasones tend to distort with high amounts of bass and treble.

Budget around £400ish.

The D5000's sounded awesome fed with a Cayin tube amp, playing some Behemoth/Suffocation/Morbid Angel, when I tried them out at a local meet. Monstrously visceral tone and slamming bass. The Beyer DT880 is another option, but I found them almost too bassy.
