Around campus in the last 24 hours:

Audio Technica a500 on the head of some guy at the snack bar last night - if you're out there in head-fi, and you go to the small college in my town, shoot me a PM!

In the library today, while I was studying with my Ety er-6i, I just saw one student with a UE super.fi 3, and a professor with a Shure e3c or e4c (I couldn't tell which).

Needless to say, my opinion of my fellow humans has gone up quite a bit.

But I also saw two Bose QC2s recently, which just depresses me when I can think of the serious headphones you could get for that price.

What, if any, good headphones have you seen around recently?

I saw someone on the Subway wearing what looked to be a W1000. It MUST have been someone from here.

The nicest headphones I ever see on campus are the Portapros, SR-60's, and HD497's.

i saw a real old guy at the hospital(must have been 90+ years old) with some pmx 60's, also saw a guy on the bus once with some ath-cm7ti.

I saw a guy walking around in New York with Grados around his neck. It was my first Grado sighting. Still not sure how he heard anything on the streets of New York, though.

On monday, on the T going to Harvard Square, one of the guys on the T had some very nice looking shiny Audio Technica (I think) clip on ear earbuds. Much more exciting than the Triports I also saw.

best i've seen was some girl wearing HD590's and another bloke in a live band with HD497's.

The weird thing is it gives you an instant need to tell someone what you've seen, i remember saying "she's wearing Sennheiser HD590's" then watching the whole family look at me weird

Saw a guy wearing one of those sony streetsyles G4...something about a week ago on my way home. Bleh i felt like walking that day. I had on my HD 205 then and i had to stop myself from smiling at him because it was my first headphone sighting in weeks.

That and more ibuds.

Saw a guy riding the subway with an SR125 once. Apart from that, it's the usual sea of Triports, a V6 here and there, or the occasional QC2. Grado is pretty common on the NY subway... I see SR60s more than you'd think.

We had an intern in December who had a pair of SR60's. So we get to talking, and now he's got and AirHead and reads head-fi!

Someone was on the BC ferries with some Senn HD580s. I was wearing my late A500's and he definatly noticed them.

This was around christmas time, its really the only big sighting
