BH and JR both sell headphones and have racks so you can try them out. The problem is that it's always too loud to try open headphones. You can hear them but it will be impossible to compare them. BH Photo has a problem of audio being played for like 20 seconds and then it goes off and you have to wait 20 seconds for it to come back. At least at BH they have the sr60, sr80, sr125, sr225, sr325 and GS1000 while at JR the only grados are the sr60 and the sr225(the old version).

I've lived in NYC all my life and J&R and B&H are the only places I know of here with a really good selection of audiophile level headphones. There's gotta be some others.
