so my birthday is coming up pretty soon and i want some headphones, i will just be using them on my phone. i heard beats pros before (clearly not accepted here) and i liked them a lot they sounded really clear and i liked how you could really pick everything apaprt with the clarity. but on here ive read that you can get better headpones for much cheaper. so what headphones would you reccomend, i want them to be very clear with good clean bass although not too overpowering. also i obviously want comfort the pros were far from comfy.

If you're in the US, you can find the yamaha pro 400 and 500 for much lower than the original msrp. The pro 400 is around $150 and the pro 500 is around $230. They seem like a good pick for something fun and bassy.

If you go a bit higher in price, theres the vmoda m100

I second the M-100. It'll work fine without an amp and it's strong suit is bass.

Yes. I haven't listened to the Pros much, but it should perform much better.

In fact the Pros don't have that much clarity to them to begin with. Everything is distorted by the bass with that thing.
