Have you had any personal experience with this headset? That's the one I'm looking at.

The specs, for everyone's easy reference are:

Headphones

- Frequency response: 16 - 28.000 Hz

- Impedance: 40 Ohm

- SPL@ 1kHz, 1 Vrms: 110 dB

- Cable length: 10 feet (with extension cord)

- Connectors: 1/8"

Yes I have and I think they are great. I wouldnt feel pressured into buying an audiophile headphone it what you really want is a gaming headphone. They do positional audio extremely well and are the most comfortable headphone I have ever had on my head and the built in mic is pretty slick. The cable is very nice and if music is not a big concern then I say go for it.

I use a pair of Sennheiser PC150s through a Creative X-Fi Extreme Music card and they work wonderfully. The positioning is excellent and from what I've been told the microphone output is clear.

They take a while to break in comfort wise, but once they do, I can wear them for 4 or 5 hours at a time with no problems.

Musically speaking, they're no good except for the most casual listening. My PX100s or Supre.fi 3s blow them away in that regard.

However, for a gaming specific headset, they are worth a look.

HD 555 were my first good headphones and I still think they are good for the price. They are good for your computer use as they are not too bright or revealing. Have a nice warm sound.
