when i first got into headphones, i remember seeing the one word description thread about headphones and amps and how they actually helped me get an idea of what the headphone was like. so i was thinking we can play another game to just help out people who are just getting into the world of headphones. too bad their wallets wont know what hit em.

I agree with your assessment of the Grado SR60 and would probably rate them even lower. A couple years ago I would have called them a great price/performance bargain and really good sounding. Then I got Denon's two best models after joining head-fi and attended a meet recently (heard some top rated cans), and I realized "my god, these are pretty bad headphones at any price." They're up for sale on Ebay to help finance my next headphone purchase...

Agreed with bang for the buck on the Senn 580 as well, those are likely my next purchase -- really could use a good pair of open cans for classical/acoustic listening in particular and they've been going heavily discounted/used lately.
