Hey there,

I am considering buying a Grado 325iS. I've heard that they are of great quality.
But are they any good when used with a samsung phone? Also, i'd like to use it with'a line 6 Ux1 device. (for guitar monitoring specificaly).
Will there be any sound degradation?

Cheers!

If you are a bass-head type of listener, then I recommend the V-Moda LP2 for your android device. The bass in the LP2 is very punchy yet it won't drown the mids and the highs. I own a pair of these as well as the M100, and I listen to music using my Note 2 via Poweramp. I also play acoustic guitar using an amp, and I tell you, with these headphones, the sound is superb. Hope this helps. You also should take note that the Grado 325iS is an open air type, in which there is sound leakage when you listen to your favorite music. On the other hand, the open air design may also widen the sound stage.

Phones are not good for music. I have a SGS3 and a cheap $30 Sansa Clip+ is significantly better.
