Ok so Ive got my headphone rig (HD650 and Gilmore Lite with AlienDAC). I just bought a new pair of M-Audio AV40 small studio monitors. They have their own amp built into the speakers. My question is, what would sound better? Using the pass through on my gilmore so it gets fed the AlienDAC's signal or should I plug it into the headphone jack of the gilmore (that is, going through the headphone amp stage)? I just plugged it into the headphone amp right now and it sounds good, but then again the other way also sounded pretty good so I dont know which ones better just yet. I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion as to which could be better.

USB ALIEN DAC -> Line In -> Gilmore Lite -> Line Out -> Speaker receiver -> Speaker.

You can have the best of both worlds, you can enjoy headphone and speaker at the same time, lol.
