what's worth it more for my uses:

DENON AH-D1001 for 100$
DENON AH-D2000 for 300$

I'm ordering tommorow and I've narrowed it down to here.

If your getting a sound card, I'd stay away from creative. I got an audigy 4 se, the drivers are bloated and really not that impressive.

5 different processes on all the time just to have sound! Eating up my precious ram and hd space.

Weird, you're from southern Ontario, own a Audigy 4 SE, and are on head-fi.

Theres an expensive hi-fi shop in ottawa I sometimes look at, but normally their stuff has a hefty premium if its not on sale. I bought my akg k702's from headroom the monday before Christmas. It was the cheapest source I could find from a dealer I could be sure of. But I had to pay full tax on that on top of the exchange rate, I'd try to buy from a Canadian dealer out of the province who has it for a good price online if I can, the extra costs are tough otherwise. Wouldn't mind finding a good store locally tho

In the future I have no idea, I'll probably end up buying a DAC from a US company.

These guys are getting rave reviews for their $400 caliente amp down in the headphone amp section, their based out of hamilton.
