headphone extension that doesn't break or make my own?

I keep breaking headphone extension cables :frowning2: 
 
Same old story the bit you plug them into breaks, or gets a loose connection, then breaks.
 
If there are any damn near unbreakable ones available to buy - please recommend?
 
 
If not I'll have to make one:
 
decent cable - fisual f flex or? not more than £10 a metre plz. I like van damme purely because it sounds tough! 
 
end plug - 5mm neutrik i already have
 
AND the tough bit the 3.5mm socket - I saw some on ebay, i think they were neutrik too. Anything better about?
 
I think I'll just make the cable an extra metre long so I can just keep buying and soldering on new sockets
