[intermezzo]

Hey,

I'm thinking about getting an extension for my Darth Beyers (recabled 1/4'' BlackMax at 1m) but I'm worried about sound degradation / distortion and the like.

The 1m recable was quite a bit shorter than I thought it would be b/c that measurement actually includes the Y. This really limits my mobility and as a result is starting to be a real pain. I'm also worried about accidentally damaging the headphones by yanking on the cord etc.

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions about which cable might be a good 'fit' with my existing cable/headphones? Do headphone extension cables effect sound quality?

I have one made out of canare starquad, 25' pretty transparent, at least and I feel no degradation so far, but I know that people here will not even consider one that is not on the multihundred figure, I'm hearing now the multiple recomendations that will follow mine.....
