I'm traveling, and my Ety's have failed on me. If I decide to get a temporary replacement, my options are Tweeter, BestBuy, and CircuitCity. Looking at their websites, the HD212 at circuit city seems like it might be the best bet. Anyone tried one of these? Other suggestions?

(And if someone knows of a well-stocked headphone boutique in central NJ, please let me know that too!)

I had a pair of HD212 Pros several months ago. It's true that they are *extremely* bassy. From memory, I think I remember the very heavy bass being accompanied by some pretty good highs and a more "muted" midrange. They didn't sound as smooth as the Grado SR125's I currently own (or the Philips SBC HP550's I used to have around the same time), but they certain pumped the bass out. Personally, I wasn't very happy with the combination of closed earcups and the level of bass they produced (was a bit fatiguing). Overall, I think they were a good value, more so if you're a bass-head.
