Hello All,
I'm somewhat new to the headphone scene. I used to listen to HD600's out of my Rogue 99 magnum. I could hear a huge difference between 580 & 600's. On my system the 600 did everything better.
I've been studying threads and reading post for sometime now and I thought I'd ask a question.
If I listen mostly to music like Ryan Adams, Paul Westerberg, Tom Waits, Counting Crows, with a little bit of Linkin Park, Jazz, and Classical mixed in. I plan to be listening mostly to vinyl from a Rega P3 with 10X5 cart, & Dyna phonostage.
Based on my post it looks like the AKG 1000 would be my best choice since I have a 300B integrated I can use. I'm a fan of soundstage and imaging as a former Merlin VSM owner and Cain and Cain Abby.
My choices as of now are AKG 1000, HD 650, and looking for suggestions. My amp has 9 watts per channel.
Also wondering if anyone has tried out the Decware Zen Triode.
