Made a post a day or so ago, but with this flood of information I am reassessing what I think suits me the best.

Ultimately I am going to be using these Headphones inside and outside. But nothing daft (like jogging and that sort of nonsense) So noise-isolation is fairly important, but not essential.

So which of the following would you guys recommend?

HD600 or 650 or perhaps 595

Something similar in Grado

I do intend them to be portably amped, so take that into consideration

Probably none of the above if you need noise isolating. You may want to look at some other brands/models.

What are your music tastes and what source will you be using?

One set of cans for all uses is usually not that good an idea. I'd rather have one for indoor use and another for portable use.

Doesn't have to be 100% noise isolation. Id just like to be able to miss out street noise etc and perhaps be able to hear them OK on a plane journey.

Source would be an Iriver H-140.

My music taste is anything and everything.

Would the HD580s be good?

No they would not.
Have you considered IEM's?
What is your price range?
