Headphone Burn-in doesn't exist

There's no depth on Portapro pads though, so the cups can't sink that far. In comparison to the PX100, the Portas actually seem more extended in the treble. The difference between old and new was really large as well

The 681's have a piercing treble that I have a passive filter for but they also 'ring' like a bell. The smooths  out the top end for me. However, they developed bass over a half hour period.

Burn in is certainly fun. You get new headphones and tweak them to perfection (Preparing comes to mind). You are doing something that the general polulation doesn't even know about, you belong to an elite club. It feels great. You recíeve sonic bliss after the special and careful "preparing".

Reminds me of dope addicts. The all have some special way to cut their weed, a special rolling process. It always is the "best" way to do it which supposedly get one much higher and "its an art man"...

And being high on headphones instead of drugs is always a good thing.
