I am looking for a full size over the ear open backed headphones and a dedicated amp.
 
I have no idea where to start and would welcome your recomendations.
 
I have a wide taste in music and prefer a warm slightly bassy sound.
 
Portability in not a consideraton
 
Budget is £1500....

Audeze LCD-2 and Senn HD650 come to mind, maybe aided by a Schiit amp, because they seem to have good value for money spent. I would spend more time looking for the phones than the amp, because they make the biggest difference in sound.

There was a defective shipment of Audeze EL-8's and Scan is on top of it. Wish I'd gone to them 1st. They're Audeze's UK pro audio distributor.
