I know that the SR80s are easy to drive, and usually don't require amps, but I want to know of any good amps that are able to tone down the 7khz-11khz treble peak. Any recommendations?

I actually posted another thread in the "buy/sell/trade" forum.

My budget is <$200 USD, because I plan on buying a digital SLR soon.

Maybe a Little Dot Micro+ or an Apheared 47? Not sure if they will tame the treble though.

M³ will surely be good for the treble.
I'm sure it can enter in the budget if you don't intend to fancy on the box or connectors, or caps, nichicons are perfect.

You want nice, high output current for grados..
A47, PINT, M^3 fits the bill quite nicely..
CMoy, unbuffered designs and such may not have the oomph to drive the grados to full potential.

I had the Little Dot Micro (Non+) for my SR80s, but found it to be too neutral. I am currently in the process of trading it for a PA2V2 hoping for a warmer/lusher more punchy sound. I'll let you know how it goes.

I use a pimeta with my ms1s and it sounds good. Although I've never tried anything else besides my homemade cmoy so I don't have much to compare to. Hopefully soon I'll build myself an A47 which is supposed to be a really good budget amp for grados.
