I'm loving my Meier Symphony amp, and the volume IS 'enough' (w/gain) used with the Sennheiser HD600, mind you, but only for certain music I would like more volume with these phones. I connected my Sennheiser HD600 to a Headamp AE-2 which in turn is connected to the Meier Corda Symphony via preamp-out. Does this make sense and preserve sound quality, or is it such an insult to the Symphony that Jan may take it away from me.

Optical Source --> Corda Symphony -> Headamp AE-2 (low gain) --> Sennheiser HD600

Could I then connect the line out of the AE-2 back to the symphony again for nuclear volume? (end of joke).

Seriously though, I get increased volume than either amp could do alone, but suspect that sq will be the cost. Btw, i'm not deaf, ....yet.
