Hello. I have an external usb sound card Sound Blaster X-fi surround 5.1 Pro (primary for my 5.1 speakers setup) and I've recently ordered ATH-M50. I'm doing an upgrade after 5 years from my Koss SB45 (primary used for vnt). Now I'm looking for some amp for the headphones and have a few questions. Is it possible to make a combo with my sound card + headphone amp? Do I need amp with DAC when I have sound card? Do I even need an amp or is the sound card enough?
Please let me know your opinions. My budget is 100$.
