Hi guys,

My first post here... Hello to all...
I'm looking for a headphone amp with USB external soundcard function.
So far the only one I know is BitHead.
any other option out there?

Are you looking for a portable system, such as the Bithead, a semi portable system such as the Headroom Micro Stack or a "fixed" system such as the Headroom Desktop? All three have the option to be connected to a PC though the USB port and to work as an external Soundcard.

I have used the Total Bithead for a few months and have just got a Microstack for Christmas (trying to convince my wife that I need to be allowed to fully test it before the big day....)

porta corda mkIII usb and the ARIA from head fi's sponsers Meier audio.
But ARIA is not portable.
the others that I know are bithead and total bithead of headroom.

Btw, Do u think those 2 will work well with Linux? Anyone has any expirence using one of those 2 with Linux?

Headroom has quite a few now, from low end to top of the line.

There is also the aforementioned Meier Audio Aria.

And there is the Grace m902 that has a USB input as well.
