Hey!
I just got a pair of SR-80's, they sound pretty good through Digidesign's Digi001, if I turn the volume past 9 o'clock my ears start to hurt, so I guess it's pretty powerful. But I do know that the mic preamps on the Digi001 are crap, so maybe the same is true for the quality of the headphone out. Would a dedicated headphone amp (in the $100-200 range) improve the sound even more? Or is it not worth it for these headphones?
(I use the SR-80's for music listening, not for reference.)
