Looking for a dedicated, NON-tube headphone amp that supports balanced headphones and can have its volume controlled by remote control (I don't want to get up to control the volume). Budget is under $1500k, and not looking for a DAC/AMP combo.
I would imagine that remote control of volume in just a headphone amp is stumping everyone.
However, if you could deal with DAC/amp, the Oppo HA-1 has a remote controlled analog potentiometer and it does have analog inputs, both RCA and balanced (you could bypass the DAC).
Take a look at Audio-GD.com I'm sure there is more out there but this is a start and they make quality stuff. I have heard the Master 9 with the HE-6 and it was pretty nice.
