Hey all,

    I just bought the Grado SR325is this week as an upgrade over my Studio Beats by Dre. I am currently running them directly out of the headphone jack in my Macbook Pro I7 Dual Core using the Fidelia media player with the FHX plugin. The majority of the music I listen to are live shows (16 bit and 24 bit FLAC files). While I love the new cans, I find that the bass from the drums are not as pronounced as I would like. Additionally, I like to listen to the shows at a loud volume, and I find that I am unable to achieve the desired volume using my current setup. 
 
My question is: do you all think I would benefit from purchasing an AMP/DAC? If so, what would you all recommend given my current setup?

Please describe your budget first and there are many AMPs/DAC which can improve sound with more volume and bass like Yulong D100, Matrix Quattro and Nuforce HDP.

My apologies, I would say my budget is <=300. Thanks for your reply, I will look into those.
