Hi everyone,
 
I have just recently upgraded  my old Iphone 4S to Android, more specifically to a NEXUS 5X. First impressions are all good, but one thing I forgot to check for this phone is the audio and as it happens, the volume output is awful.
 
Before I go down the whole process of rooting and making some changes there, I thought perhaps an amp would fix this issue for now?
 
I’m actually reading through the threads about amps now, but it would be great if anyone could help me with some recommendations. Small is the key for me

Fiio A3 is a good amp with a lot of power that will drive many larger headphones. Great choice for the price.

What headphones (make/model) are you using?

Thank you for the feedback, I will take a look. I'm also checking the Cozoy Astrapi, as it looks quite small.

The Cozoy will be drawing power off your phone battery both in acting as a DAC and in powering the headphones. A headphone amp only like the A3 will not. You also will not be able to charge your phone while using the Cozoy.
